VoltMerric Privacy Policy

Overview

VoltMerric is designed to be private by default. It records the charging/refueling data you enter to compute your real energy cost. Your data stays on your device unless you explicitly enable iCloud sync. We do not operate any server that collects your data.

Data We Do Not Collect

VoltMerric does not collect personal information. Specifically:

• No account or login is required.
• No name, email, phone number or location is collected.
• No tracking or device fingerprinting of any kind.
• No third-party analytics or telemetry SDKs.
• No advertising and no ad identifiers.

Data Stored On Your Device

The app stores only the data you enter, locally via Apple's SwiftData:

• Vehicles: names you choose, powertrain type (EV / fuel) and battery chemistry or fuel grade.
• Charging records: odometer, amount paid, charge level, date and derived cost metrics.

You can delete any record or vehicle at any time; deleting a vehicle permanently removes all of its records. Removing the app deletes all local data.

iCloud Sync (Optional)

iCloud sync is off by default. If you turn it on in Settings, your data is backed up and synced across your devices:

• It is strictly opt-in and can be turned off at any time.
• Data is stored in your own private iCloud (CloudKit) database, tied to your Apple ID.
• The developer cannot access your iCloud data; it is handled by Apple under your account.

Network Access

VoltMerric makes no network requests to any developer-operated or third-party server. The only network activity is Apple's iCloud sync, and only when you have enabled it.

Third-Party Services

VoltMerric integrates no third-party SDKs, analytics, crash reporters or advertising networks.

Privacy Manifest

In line with Apple's requirements, VoltMerric declares that it does not track users and does not collect data for tracking purposes.

Data Security

Local data is protected by iOS device encryption. When iCloud is enabled, data in transit and at rest is protected by Apple's CloudKit security.

Children's Privacy

VoltMerric does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children, because it collects no personal data at all.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
